Yeah, thanks again. I do like that short hair style of Drake's as I posted above. I might just get my hair thinned out a bit and maybe some off the back since my hair is really thick. I don't really want much length off it, so I'll just say keep it the same length but make it thinner.

In my personal opinion I guess maybe the whole long straight hair thing you've got going on was pretty much really the in thing. But that seems to have sorta developed over time and it's now into more shorter and choppier versions... And I think you've maybe just not developed along with it and therefore you are feeling a bit left behind and outdated.

Personally, I think you should get it cut shorter a bit. I think shorter - semi-long hair is more in for boys at the moment and tbh it's just much easier to manage. Also, with your current hair there is very, very little you can do and you can't particularly change it or spice it up at all from day to day. If you had it a bit shorter you could try different styles out much easier and it would let you gradually find a style that you really suit.

However, if you actually personally do like your hair and think it's fine and don't want to change then please don't. It really is down to you what you like and if it's long hair for you, then stick with it mate. Everyone is gonna have different opinions as you can see from this thread, some people think the longer thing is cool and have it themselves whilst others have been there or not and think shorter is perhaps the way to go. But at the end of the day you are the one managing and living with it - so it's how you feel.

I know that actually getting it done will be the biggest and maybe most hard part as the outcome of that will be the most noticable and stuff.

I think you could do it 2 ways though, you could maybe get it cut a bit shorter than it is at the moment to the kind in the picture and try it out at a more short length then if you really like that stick with it, if not you can go back and get it shorter a bit again.

Otherwise I would maybe suggest doing it the other way around and getting it the shortest in the first place and style it as you go along to see how you like it.

One thing though I would say that is important, is even if you are keeping it long - you could still go to a stylist/barber/hair dresser every few weeks or so and just get them to put some vibrancy back in it and maybe try out some slight tweaks.

TO SUM UP lol I basically think it really is down to what you want. At the end of the day though, if you get your hair cut it isn't going to take pure ages to grow back in and youc an always end up with it back as it is now if thats what you choose. I think you should maybe just go for it and try out a new wee style to give yourself a change and see how you like it - and if not you can easily let it grow back in.

ps. about photoshopping hair onto your face - I really do not recommend at all. lol Everyones hair style is different and you can never just apply someones hair to your own persona. Even if you take a picture into the hairdressers and say "that kinda thing" they try and replicate it but you never come out with the exact same style! Thats another suggestion, you could just print out some fotos and say try this one or whatever or get a hairdressers opinion. Do you know any in the family/friends? (BTW I quoted the pic cause I really don't like that guys hair rofl)

    EDIT: I LIKE THIS STYLE:-

Thanks a lot Allan, means a lot to me that you typed loads just because I have a hair problem. Much appreciated. I'll probably have it like this first, since the fringe length is similar to mine and it won't take that long to grow:

On the other hand, if I dislike that, I'll probably try the style that you dislike, sorry but I like that style quite a bit. P) It might take some getting used to styling it though since my hair has been 'trained' to be straight down, not gelled to the side a bit.

But I suppose if I were to have it cut like the first image I posted, I could easily change it to the style number 2 above without getting it cut even more, if you get me. My Mum & sister have a good home hairdresser who is in her twenties I think, so she'll probably be able to offer me advice.

    No problem at all.

Yeh exactly, next time you have the hair dresser round or whatever or even when you are going to get your hair cut - just say the sort of style your after and ask for their opinion.

And yeh even though I personally may not love that style, if it's what your into then by all means go for it. Theres nothing worse than having hair to suit other people when you are not comfortable with it yourself mate.

Like you say - they styles are quite similair anyway so it will at least give you a bit more freedom from now and let you style it as you please and differentiate it a wee bit.

Yeah, I suppose gel will make my hair look like haircut 1 and a bit of wax make it look like haircut 2. Thanks again mate.

Oh really? That's cool because I do as well. Anybody else prefer number 1?

I think it's washed, just too much gel on it.
