Mac vs PC

Linux = servers and some editing

mac = video editing, photography, creativity

PC = work, gaming, programming (I guess, not sure)

Its basically arguments fueled on what people are into, this dictates which system you should have. Macs are the sexiest though

LOL it's stereotypes like that that cause such problems. I never do any photography and designing work on my Mac (except Media projects assigned at school). I have used it to code before and I have used it to work. :S You don't buy a Mac that is restricted to opening PS, Gimp, iPhoto and Aperture lol.

This is what starts it, people trying to make "valid" points then putting in that little bit extra. Macs aren't the "sexiest" by a long shot, it's a computer not a goddamn model.

Mac for myself,
Basically I use my MacBook for Internet, Video, Video Production, Music and Photoshop. I am starting a Film and Television University Course in London after my Gap-Year so a mac was the obvious choice. But PCs are better for spread sheets :| haha

For god sakes, mods don't approve of this in it's own section, let alone the feedback section!

People assume too much, someone sees someone else talking about a Mac and thinks they're a fanboy, then out of pure ignorance makes some idiotic comment (because they assume they don't own any pcs and back Apple 100%). I think the threads are pointless...maybe immature, but they're harmless IMO. It's always the same thing anyways. Someone tells a Mac user that they never shutup about their Mac. The Mac user makes this huuge exaggeration about BSODs. The PC user says Macs are over priced then the Mac user laughs and starts talking about viruses. It's not really anything we havent seen before...

Macs = OS is fricken ugly, but has some awesome apps, slightly superior for video/photo editing
PCs = IE is fricken ugly but the OS is superior for gaming, programming etc...
Linux = ******* awesome as a reliable server.
