well quite simply because they don't wish to pay the 'x' amount for it and get it for free instead...

then in my opinion they shouldn't have the right to own the game.

In the sims 3, you can add things to the game that other users have made.

You can't do this if you download it (At least I don't think you can, because it requires an online connection through a confirmation code sent to you via. e-mail when you register your copy). Also with the game you get a second town, rather than just the one. I dont know if it will be like this when its available for full download or not.

I think he means the EA key which only one game can get. If EA are smart like Adobe, they'll keep an eye on their keys and block games with fake keys, making it difficult (though not impossible) for these freeloaders

That sucks i havent played sims in ages, maybe since the first lot came out. i have most of the sims 1 expansion packs
i might just resort back to sims 1...
