No, it didn't expire until the 21st of this month and it's been renewed to the 21st of June 2011 anyway.

I'm guessing it was just a server issue as uploadpicz was also offline.

They should have put a message on habbox.com though.

Sadly, I don't have anything to do with the servers the forum or other sites are hosted on. Therefore if one of them goes offline, I can't do anything about it.

Yeah, I was basically in the dark like most users was. But it was pretty clear to me it was something regarding to the servers. Regarding the rumours -looks at Jake-, that's all I got to say . Sorry about the downtime everyone, but It was out of my hands.

Well how often does Habbox Forum actually go down? I can't remember the last time. It wasn't that long really and it's back now. There is nothing you could do Matt, anyway - I do not think we will require post-traumatic stress counselling on this occasion as there was nothing on the site. Maybe it was all connected and it wasn't possible.

I'm sorry but I think your missing the point. You are the forum manager, I see that as you are responsible for the running of the forum. While I accept you are not directly responsible for the servers, what you are responsible for operates on them.

So if the server goes down what you are responsible for also fails so it should become in your upmost intrests to find the person responsible and get them to keep you upto date with what excally is wrong and when it is going to be fixed.

I happen to rent a server from a hosting company, if the physical hardware fails or the network it is connected to develops a fault it is not my responsibility to fix and I have nothing to do with it. However, since it effects me in the same way it effects you, I make sure it becomes my business and, while I personally can't do anything about it, I find out excally what the problem is, who is going to fix it and when it will be fixed. I don't shrug it off and say its not my problem, sit back and do nothing.

By acquiring this information you would of been able to provide a update to the users of Habbox Forum which is, while not offically, your responsibility.

If he doesn't have the means to contact the person required, then he can't do anything about it. Its all well and good being able to sit their and point fingers but it's not going to change what happened. If it happens again, we'll learn from this and improve but for now I'm just glad the world didn't end.

Very easy to criticise here? Matt has only just become Forum Manager and to be able to do as you say he would have to be empowered with the tools to equip him to find out what the situation is and inform others. It doesn't quite work that way on Habbox Forum - he is responsible for running the forum not keeping it running. You are being pretty harsh here IMO. I am sure Nvrspk4 will address the issue when he comes on although he is not on GMT as you are most probably aware.
