    Upgrading your PC for many reasons may require upgrading various other components. Check how big your ram is, if its any less than 1.5gb than i suggest adding 1gb extra. The only reason for the slow bootup would be that the graphics card will have to process more things in better quality and it needs a higher ram to do so.

    The graphics card has nothing to do with Vista booting up slowly.
