I'm not trying make the iPhone 3GS seem negative cause I have it aswell but the hype of all it's new features isn't needed. The video recording is on the 3G, uploading to YouTube is on the 3G the only difference IN MY VIEW is a bit faster and obviously the 32gb one.

The 3G only has the ability to record if you jailbreak it. Some people don't want to jailbreak their phones as it can mess up during the process.

They mess up if you don't do it properly and download the wrong things. They should know if they are going to jailbreak it then they should make sure they get someone who's done it many times before or watch the video on YT many times. Also key by making a backup. If they don't do none of that then they deserve to have it messed up if they are wanting to jailbreak it.

How is this not good advice,

Jailbreak your iPhone, and it will vod you warrenty, and yes in cases you can be taken to court! You editing the iphne software, disabling components and effectivley stealing money, from apple and developers! So tell me how that isn't illegal?

And to the guy who thinks that iTunes restore button for the iPhone will fix a cracked, smashed or loose screen you have another thing coming, and what about hardware damage, yano the physicall damage? Or damage to the screen?

I never realised iPhone restore also had a magic wand? Because it dosent! Restore does not fix everything!

So stop being so dam argementative and accept that I'm givng advice,

Jesus some membes just love and old scrap don't they?

This is ********, IF you brick your phone Apple won't take it, they just simply refuse to fix it and give you the phone back. They can't sue you or anything because it is not against the law to jailbreak your iPhone, as much as Apple can try, their cases just get thrown out.

So you are denying that you can be taken to court?
Jailbreaking is editng the iPhones software, which is in breach of they're terms and conditions, of which they do have the right remove the product from you, at which point you can recieve compensation,

and no, not all the cases are thrown out, I will find examples of news stories and link them back to you,

hacking software or decompilng coding is illegal, and particpating is soliciting to commit fraudand breaks many of the digital acts in place,

you are stealing money from apple and developers, which is ilegal..

I'm not saying you are the one making he softare, bt sure The Pirate Bay wernt the ones hostng the files..

Link the cases please. Also @ your previous post, where you mentioned that a restore would not fix a broken screen, its not at all what he was saying, you should probably read the posts the first time.

The only reason i have a problem with this is the fact you claimed to be an Apple employee yet its obvious your not, apple clearly wouldn't disallow the use of windows vista and fire their employees for it. Nor would they take users to court for jail breaking their iPhone, unless in certain cases where they are directly responsible for other users jailbreaking etc.

No, Jailbreaking it self is not stealing, and the users are not decompiling the code, it is the developers that release the jailbreak that are breaking the law, but as of yet none of them have been taken to court.

Apple tried to make it illegal to jailbreak the iPhone and iPod Touch, but the courts just threw their cases out. No matter how much Apple cry and try, it will not be illegal to jailbreak your phone. The principle is, "you paid for the device, you own the device, it is you're device to do as you please to.".

Apple have never taken a device from a customer because they have jailbroken it, this would be classed as stealing and Apple would be in the **** for it.

I think actually, you're talking out of your ass. An Apple employee would be mature enough to spell properly for a start.

Also "hacking" and decompiling code is not illegal, ever heard of open source?
