Why do we have 5 dark and 6 light green blocks? Why not 6/6? I'm not really bothered about the changing of the blocks really, I don't really look at them. Rep Power is usually more representitive of reputation since the blocks are quite close together.

The 1500 rep that someone suggested is way too much though, I think I worked out that the user with the most rep has only around 12,000. Which is only 8 blocks.

That'd put me at 2 blocks (assuming you'd get 1 for 0 rep like we do now...) and I've been here nearly 5 years.

    Good question

As far as the 1500 rep, I think the point was to add a new block so that if you exceed 1700 (believe thats top margin here) you would have more blocks which were now earned at 1500 rep each which would allow you to keep going.

Which I think is a little silly but hey.

It creates more of a long term goal and makes it difficult for people with loads of rep power to rep each other to keep getting more blocks. It will allow people to close the gap a bit as well so that the older ones have their blocks closer to the newer people because it is more difficult to get them. If something similar was done to rep power then that would be great. (People who had been around long before the change got their rep up really high and still had loads of rep power after). Oh and management should have their rep halfed because they get loads from people who think they will be liked from it.

This is the type of attitude regarding reputation we're trying to avoid. People treating it as a competition and trying to even out the playing field so they can get ahead etc. etc.

For that reason I think it may be better to just let the rep system lie.
