It's just over a month old shut up.

Relapse is not his worst work, I just like the whole crazy thing he has going on.

I love his old stuff, but I absolutely LOVE the relapse album. His lyrics are unmatched and I will be gutted if he retires after relapse 2.
    Same, on all levels .

Eminem is undisputely the number 1 rapper in the world at the current time. He remands the only rapper in the world to come back from a also dead state of play where people say he would never rap again or sell albums to produce one of the biggest selling albums of the year and of his career. He has 3 multi million pound albums and still hold the record for staying at number 1 the longest in the UK charts for a raper. His songs are written on pure experience and emotion of his life, with most being written about the closest things to him in life (ie his daughter). He remands to be the only raper in the world to be able to capture the heart of the fans and to sell records. I dont think its even possible to despute that he is not a legend and dont understand why ANYONE could call him a loser.

If it was not for eminem, we would not have some parts of the music industry that we have today, he showed you can push the boundrys with songs and opened doors for many other artist.

Relapse was a critical flop and most real hip-hop-heads regard him as having fallen off. I would say that commercially Jay-Z has blown everyone out of the water (no homo) for the past decade, Nas being the greatest lyrically and flow-wise, and Ghostface Killah the most creative, and that's only in mainstream rap. Slip underground and you got all sorts of guys with massive amounts of talent

Well that's just plain untrue, loads of rappers claim to have quit before coming back with something more

DMX had 5 albums in a row that went straight to number one (the only person let alone rapper to have done so - that is straight to number one, Jay-Z has 10 chart topping albums but not ones that went right to the top spot), missing out on the 6th by literally 100 sales. He also claimed to retire after his 5th album, and clearly didn't as above.

Cool.. like with all musicians then. People only identify with him more because there are more white suburban kids out there than black ghetto soldiers, but that doesn't mean no other rapper writes about personal stuff

    That's just plain wrong

We wouldn't have 50 Cent.. and maybe Asher Roth. That's all I can think of. Great musician but he's really not all that influential among the rap community, just very well respected

An extract taken from justin smith's webiste (Otherwise known as "Just Blaze")

"Justins latest accomplishment has been working with EMINEM (arguably the best rapper in the world) on his next album; Relapse 2. They have already recorded six songs and have plans on making three more. Whether these tracks make it on the album will be up to Marshall."
As you can still he is still regarded by most in the music industry as the best rapper in the world.

(For thoose who dont know who Justin Smith, otherwise know as "Just Blaze" is, he is one of the best music producers in the world and has worked albums and songs with the likes of Eminem, Kanye West, Usher, Snoop Dog, Mariah carey, Busta Rythms, Lil-Wayne, jay-z, Fat joe, Janet jackson and many more and has produced over half of Eminems songs including 7 of his top 10 of all time songs).

Just Blaze is cracking (even though he fully screwed Saigon over) but how does that show that people think Em's the best rapper in the world? I'm not denying his talent, just that title - of course Blaze is gonna say he's great on the site because he wants people to buy his music, but he's worked with far better in the past. Half of Beanie Sigel's "The Reason" was done by him, a few of Blueprint and half Blueprint 2, a few Game tracks, Saigon as previously mentioned, all better than Em in terms of sound.

If DJ Premier on his site claimed MOP were "arguably the best rap group in the world" because he works with them, that wouldn't make it true, good as they are
