Well out of the 2 you said I would go with the Imac any day.
Quite alot of members have done custom builds, and I'm fairly sure they were younger than youIf you ask on here, they can help you set up a custom build
Do you literally HAVE to have either the iMac or the HP Touchsmart?
I haven't used one of these HP Touch Screen computers yet so I can't really give you a fair recommendation. I can imagine you starting to get bored of touching the screen, physically tired in your arms and upper body and wishing you didn't spend so much for a feature that you hate using. As for the iMac, well... it's an iMac! I made the switch from Windows to Mac a month or 2 ago and holy mother of God it's unbelievable. Not all people stay with Mac after they have made the switch but most do. Like the guy at PC World said when I was purchasing my iMac; "Once a Mac you never go back", he couldn't of been more right for me.![]()

That is the same story with people who get a Mac then dislike it, so go with Windows.I haven't used one of these HP Touch Screen computers yet so I can't really give you a fair recommendation.
