Post icons instead of text?

How will random little images be neater? The prefixes are very neat and at least there's a 0% chance of misunderstanding them. If you use random images nobody will know what half of them are.

I'm sorry but I see this as another needless "if it ain't broke" type of thing that habbox doesn't need especially when it has bigger things to worry about.

The prefixes were designed to replace subforums and to help with searches since you can search by prefix in the advanced search thingamabob (does anyone even do that? ). At a time where we're trying to cut down on forums, getting rid of them and making subforums is mental imo.

I like the idea of pictures though, if we're trying to modernise the forum having text representing things rather than images seems a bit old fashioned.

I prefer chip's idea of just getting rid of them. If people can't tell what a topic is about from the thread title then it probably comes under rule A.16.

Yeah if I go to the entertainment forum wanting to read about big brother (and consequently have an IQ of less than 5) I'd just have to scan the prefixes rather than read every thread title and having to open the first page. Its like a London Underground map, if someone tells you to go to South Woodford you'd be looking for years but if someone says go to South Woodford on the Central Line you only have to look along one line. YES THEY'RE COMPARABLE

You cannot interchange them between themes without modification. If it was possible that means you then have to make 4+ icons each time you need another icon.
