Some suggestions: Youtube embedded on forum & new emoticons

I'd like to see youtube embedded, I think it's just a nice little feature to be able to use, if needed. If it's abused, the moderation department can swoop down on it and then let the majority rule-abiding members use it for their own reasons.

As for emoticons, I normally use the standard (sometimes the wall and the whistle) so I wouldn't be bothered either way about new ones!

I would hate to see Youtube embedding be implemented if we can help it. But I do like the idea of our own custom made emoticons. MSN ones look like funny.

Reckon you could give a possible, believable, viable reason why you wouldnt like them implemented? I mean, so far, it does appear like its 2:1 which is a fair majority. Its like, i dont want this to come off badly lol, but its like a dictatorship by saying i dont like it so youre not getting it. if that makes sense?

I didnt suggest we wouldnt get it, I just said I would hate to see youtube embedding being implemented, purely because its messy, it makes things a tad more laggier, its more work for our moderators, it will get misused, I don't see why a link is so hard, it seems like a lot of mess just to avoid a click. Its not just up to me, we have forum managers for a reason. Regardless, Habbox isn't a democracy and never will be.

it makes it a millisecond slower, you wouldnt even notice. No strain is put on the server as its hosted on youtube, it just fetches the player which, once its fetched it once, it doesnt need to again. But also, if its possible, a switch off button would make it so people can choose whether it loads it or not, or just puts a link there

its what they are there for surely? But anyway, like i said before, any graphic content on youtube is taken off straight away, and any adult content such as gore requires you to be logged on to see it. as i said before also, im not too sure if thats true, but i dont see why it wouldnt be. (plus, how many links are posted to bad things on youtube at the minute anyway? i havnt seen any?)

Misuse would be in spam forum, which is what its there for. any misuse would just result in a pointless post in any other forum, and would be dealt with how it normally would be, which, they might have just posted 'fgdsuignfdo' rather than 'www.youtube.com/v/dfsafd', if that makes sense? Not only that, but i still think that it should possibly only get allowed in the music and spam forum anyway, if that is possible

since the removal of VIP, i suppose hxf has had to rely on reserves and its owners own money. Navigating away from a website means that it gets less traffic, and thus can charge less. Not only that, but if there was an ad on youtube, and theyd navigated away, that revenue couldve been hxf's

i know, which is why it had started to go downhill, as the managers and staff never listened.

And it won't even avoid the click because you will still have to press play init. Also whoever mentioned traffic; it won't affect traffic because links open in a new window anyway.

The only existing smilies that I think look good are the ones ClubHabbo (and now HabboForum) use and I don't expect any custom made ones to be anything special (I even had a go at some last night because I was bored but I doubt there's any point even showing them). I'd rather just keep the current ones because at least within the fansite circle they're unique and everyone's used to them.

erm, got slightly bored. These are new ones made form scratch, some are similar and obviously its not a full set. Thought id give them hair too!! the other ones ive made mock ups of are a lot different,
