Fair enough. Almunia is unreliable like that.

Sorensen was caught off of his line. Same thing? He wasn't doing his goakeeping duties. He could have caught the corner, and failing that he should have been quicker to get back. Even then the ball pretty much went straight through his hands. It was a series of GK blunders, but I will say that the technique and accuracy were both very good. However, he could have saved it, whilst with Figueroa's goal he couldn't.

I don't think Figueroas was all that great? He wasn't doing his goakeeping duties. He could have caught the corner, and failing that he should have been quicker to get back. Well it was a good strike, and well placed and he saw Sorenson off his line and went for it, with Sorensons positioning he couldn't have stopped it imo. Even though Almunia wasn't on his line (which if he was a bit quicker he could have been), he still could have stopped it, and he also could have caught the ball in the first place which is why I think it was more a GK error.
Saying that, as I said above it's still good technique and I'm not gona take that away from it but I think it was more shot of the season then Goal of the season.
SCOOOOOSE ME! Are we forgeting Jeromes belter?! I agree with listin to what the commentator says, everything he says is correct.

I thought the original punch was quite good, but it was just unlucky that it fell to rose. Gomes punches 75% of our crosses and 99.999999% of the time we get away with it.Well it was a good strike, and well placed and he saw Sorenson off his line and went for it, with Sorensons positioning he couldn't have stopped it imo. Also it comes past a crowd of players, Almunia has to react very fast to get anywhere near it.
Nothing wrong with punching, but I still think he could have caught it. For a punch it was a good punch. Also look at him as soon as he gets up, you can see it in your sig. He stands there for ages waiting instead of rushing back to his line.
It was a good goal, don't get me wrong, I just think it was stoppable. I'm 99.9999999% sure if that was gomes, it would have been saved.
