If you read the runescape official forums people can actually kill it on their own, but they have to do two trips.. As for the chance of a chainmail drop (which I'm guessing you're after) you'll have to kill it anything from 10-20 times just to be in for a chance.

Also you can get people to run food and prayer pots to you. And with the new (Well kind of new o.o) barrows armour around which allows max hits of up to 87 I belive, it may be possible for peope to slay it without help.

You lot, one thing, if you dont want to get killed before you get to kalphite queen, remember to bring anti poison. I went down there yesterday and there were thge following creatures:
Kalphite Worker (lvl 28)
Kalphite Soldier (lvl 85)
Kalphite Guardian (lvl 141)

Kalphite soldiers and guardians all poison but when ones attacking one and he runs behind a wall, all the others can go past without getting attacked AKA POISONED!
Ive seen the kalphite queen poison, I cant remember what poison damage she made but it was high!
Oh and by the way, you need at least 2 ropes, or you wont even get to the kalphite queen..

hey ghost u supply food stand somewere where no kalahite queens are when someone is hit and we run out of food we run to u and u give us food hows that?

Cant someone carry food themselves? Its gonna be a while before they get a chance to trade you, and whereever you stand, unless 3 people are being attacked by a creature, you're gonna get attacked aswell.
