Why would I tell that rule to the rest of the internet?

Why would I tell that rule to the rest of the internet?
"if it effects u that much i think you need help" - says the one having a tantrum, making a thread to moan about it and refusing to take your picture off? i thnk you're more effected by it than me.
i'm simply saying it won't benefit any members or the forum at all, it looks tacky and professional, not to mention the amount of bullying that'll occur. people are just going to form a little elite club on who's "hot or not" just by juding by pictures, it already happens anyway. i won't care either way, you won't see me making any threads because i don't get my way
"the rule is pathetic end of" well maybe if people actually gave a decent argument FOR it rather than not backing it up they may get somewhere lol

We have considered changing this rule however after a thread posted recently by users concerned for the safety of themselves and other forum members - asking us to tighten security on the "Post a Picture of You" thread.
When we've just tightened security measures of who can see pictures of our members why would we just go and loosen them up altogether by letting eveyrone show pictures in their avatars.

Even if someone is a bully or not they are still entitled to their opinions. No matter what they may of done in the past.
yh i am entitled to mine too so we all win
well much more "professional" than any other forum atleast which is why i still post here - staff are actually mature![]()
yes i'm a bully and yes i'm shallow i've already said, which is why i know people would get bullied and it's therefore not a good idea, i'd be one of them insulting every single person..
there's no irony or hipocrisy i'm not claiming to be nice, i did say on my last post to feel free - it'll give me a laugh.

:S well the ones who are scared of being bullied, don't put avatars of emselfs up? simples...
Always that I put an avatar of someone famous un moderator says me that is not possible to add picture of myself on avatar.
I don't have a problem with this, but really I think that this rule is unnecessary. :/
I am going to start calling you 'half a story' Jake. You were given the opportunity of providing further information for this particular thread which you have obviously declined to do. For this particular rulebreak there is no warning or infraction - there never has been and I have been modding since 2005. It goes straight to caution if persisted with.
In respect of the avatar situation I see no difference from allowing it elsewhere on the forum and allowing it in your avatar. If somebody is going to be bullied then they will be in the pictures thread so it is not really an argument against it anymore logically. Any bullying is stamped on there so would be as a matter of course in an avatar, Personally I agree it puts off new members as I have said before as it is almost 'allowed as norm' on most of the other sites. That is just my personal view though.
