I'd probably cry if it was a hawk. It was a Starling. The funny thing is I was driving along and it crossed my path, there was a burst of feathers and so I pulled over a) to shut the screaming (female) friends in the car up and b) to check there was no blood / guts / feathers on the car. There was literally nothing and I couldn't see the dead bird anywhere. The next day I wake up and start driving about and then when I pulled up at my friend's house she came out and was like, erm.. dead bird? Somehow it had got caught inside the grill and had obviously worked its way out as I was driving about.

I've seen a cat dragged under a bus and then dragged further for a good few feet before it's mangled carcass came to a halt in the middle of the road. I can't remember if anyone moved it or not but the blood trail remained for several days. To make matters worse it was a really hot day and EVERYONE was out enjoying the sunshine which only added to the horrible event, I couldn't hear myself thinking for my next door neighbour screaming.

My Dog escaped, ran across the road where another Dog was barking at him, he got hit by a car at about 30 MPH knocking him a few meters along the ground. Then he panicked and tried to run back, he got hit by another car but the problem was he was looking at us when he got hit the second time so I think he thought we'd done it. He then ran all the way down the road and we had to chase him. We eventually got him back and there wasn't a single scratch on him, he got home and started trying to play with his ball. Very weird.

Not quite but a while ago, whilst I was at the Vets, a woman came in with a screaming cat. The cat had just been run over, the woman spotted it on the edge of the road and she couldn't bear leaving it to limp off. It was such a horrible sound, hearing an animal in agnoy too. It looked really bad and in the end it had to be put down... so sad. I couldn't actually imagine seeing an animal being hit, how horrible.
