Where were you when you found out Michael Jackson died?

Asleep My mum came into my room 'Wake up' ' Why?' ' MJ's dead' 'oh' half an hour later i went down stairs and looked at the tv and it said 'MJ has died' i was like mum why didn't you tell me LOL i hate morning but yeah :L but the day before my mate had said a horrible joke about him the ones that are like .. if MJ died and he died the next day i was like YOU KILLED MJ but yeah LOL

It was when I was doing the American Exchange at school last year, and while the Yanks were over here, we had a particularly Scottish themed ceilidh. When i stopped to have a rest i had a quick look on fb on my phone and everyone's statuses were like "omg michael jackson is dead" and sure enough i looks up bbc news and there it is...

School prom, dancing to Billie Jean... mate got a text saying he'd died off someone else who wasnt there, creepy as ****.

I seriously fought it wasn't true, until my whole family said it was, so i checked on MSN news, and it was true, then on the way to school, i heard it on the radio, and by the time i got to school, it had spread like wild fire.

It was about 11:45PM and we had Sky News on down the stairs, I was on MSN and told somebody I was talking with that Michael Jackson was dead - didn't believe me but then checked and within an hour all the MSNs online had 'RIP MJ XX' on. I remember it well.

Oh and of course everybody turned on MJ songs and didn't stop listening to them for a few months at least!
