I liked the way it was done last year so I think that maybe we should get the top 3 charities that people choose and do that. Also, can we try and get some acknowledgement from the charities that you can post like a few years back with Livestrong. I'm not doubting that the money does go to charity however I think that people would be more likely to do it again in future if they actually saw a thanks from the charities.
I think the money should go to a smaller charity rather than a large one like cancer research. Don't get me wrong, it's a very worthwhile cause, but I think it would look a much bigger donation if it went to a lesser-known charity, rather than one which recieves lots.
Then again, I do think the Make a Wish Foundation is a brilliant charity (probably because it works so closely with Disney) and I know someone who had their wish granted. So that gets my vote
Or the RSPCA of course!
It depends on how large the majority is. If like 90% of the people in the thread favour one charity, given its been stuck in a very visible and active forum for several weeks then we'll no doubt go for that. If like last year it's pretty evenly matched, we'll either pick the top few again or put it to a final vote. Those of you saying no to the RSPCA make me sick!

Anyway, how is this going to work? The one with most nominations in this thread will get picked? Or will you choose all of the nominations in this thread and make a large poll and announce it across the forum so more people get involved and we can actually see an accurate tally? Also, will just one charity be chosen? Last time it was the top three charities with the most votes and people could then purchase VIP for whatever one they desired and the money would then go to that specific charity. I quite liked that way as it made everyone happy and every little helps!

Ex-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/
Its very early days at the moment, but it would depend on how clear the winner would be. If most people wanted one specific charity we would most likely do it that way - if not we'll do what Jamesy said above. Those of you saying no to the RSPCA make me sick!

Make a Wish gets my vote.
I think I gave £25 to Help for Heroes last year and I still believe it is a great charity to support. However this year I would like the Charity to be one that looks after children - either African kids or kids in our own country. I will be going to Namibia to renovate a school in July, and my sister did it last year. It really was a life changing experience for her, and has helped her realise how little amounts, and help the kids there. I am currently raising £2145 to renovate another school there, but anyway.
Either that or a hospital in England who helps ill kids get better. My sister (again) went to Adenbrookes hospital when I was 9/10 seriously ill with something called 'Transverse Mylitos' (or something spelt like that!) The hospitals did a brilliant job, and I know they do for thousands of other children in Britain.
My third choice would be Help for Heroes, and I still believe this is a fantastic charity. These guys risk their lives on our behalf - surely that is one of the most courageous jobs you can do.
PLEASE do NOT do Cancer Research - they have SO many adverts etc - how can this be a worthy cause?? I know cancer is a really bad disease, but I don't think Cancer Research is going to find a cure.

Perhaps have one colour of VIP for each chosen cause (if three are chosen like last year).
