I don't like them much myself but at the end of the day if you like them and are comfortable in them then go ahead. I agree with Dean, they do go rather well with what you're wearing and i don't really think they're that much of a big deal really, people wear far worse things in public and for people to be laughing at you or taking the piss for wearing a particular pair of shoes is quite immature imo
!
