If the account owner is safe enough with their choice of password/email combination then this would never have happened - it's not like they weren't warned...

Nice thought but I'm not sure how it'd help haha.

Why should people be blamed for when it's the hackers fault :S

Hacker takes the stuff you've bought/earned and you're on the side of the hacker because it's the owner's fault??

Some businesses hire hackers to attempt to steal their data (which isn't stolen, it's just shown to the company that they can do it), we're not hiring these hackers to take our Furni, why should they not be the ones to blame?

Because if the people were careful enough with their account details the hackers shouldn't have had the information needed to hack in the first place?

I'm not 'on the side' of the hacker because IMO hacking is wrong, but unless the hackers have used unavoidable software/techniques, then yes it is the user's fault, there's enough guides out there, both on here and habbo teaching you how to saecure your account details...

agree agree agree... i find this guy so cute that he came up with such a plan though! but yeah oh well you ogt hacked you should thank your hacker for actually testing you (depending on how they got your account) so you know not to make this mistake again

moral of this story: use a better password with lowercase, uppercase symbols and numbers AND use a complete different email for your habbo/forum/anything else from your public msn and DON'T tell anyone!!!

Well in this case well at least for one of the mentioned it was a silly mistake on their behalf and these phishing sites are just so stupid , I wouldn't mind knowing who done it tho. Like yes It's a silly mistake to make and well i thought no one would fall for it but I guess I'm wrong?

Did it actually work though - because I doubt anyone who's smart enough to hack someone else's account would fall for their own tricks tbh...

If you're stupid enough to share your details (email for habbo, d.o.b., password etc.) on any site or to anyone, then you deserve what you get.

As Laura said - the hackers shouldn't HAVE the information - it's your fault for giving it to them. However, it IS wrong. The only time in which the habbo is completely NOT to blame is when someone has scripted their habbo (somehow). Eg; the habbo player has NEVER gone on a dodgy site that could've installed a keylogger, never been on a phishing site, has a long, secure password and has never told anyone their password or email or security details etc.
