I think Habbo are doing this, because public rooms are a thing of the past. They were here before the guest rooms but now its all about the guest rooms. Habbo is again bringing more and more furni out making it more interactive and soon public rooms will really not be needed.

So how many of you have been in public rooms recently for fun?

The only loss I can see is the welcome lounge and the lido, I can see them keeping the welcome lounge on, maybe even the lido, but the other rooms are all fairly disposable now, hopefully the winning entries will be astonishing!

Again, a shame that Habbo are toying with such a long-time feature of the hotels. I can't see it being a good thing, as the 'public' rooms that they already use for guest rooms are slow to load, tend to look messy/tacky and certainly wouldn't interest me. I think Habbo are heading in the wrong direction with this one.

Nice comp and badge, but I'm not entering because the chances of winning are so rubbish, and guest rooms can never replace public rooms because public rooms are totally different, in the way that they are huge and have things that you can't buy for your own rooms

i caught gandalfthegrey. and ladyjane21 (both staff - gandalf is design staff (furni/badge designer) and ladyjane works along side TRF/Grecian with advertising) looking at habbowood themed rooms on friday (not long before puffin launched the new quest rooms)

This would be a real shame - the public rooms are of a good quality and I don't think this could be replaced by users except for a few exceptions.

This competition is AWESOME!
This is really an opportunity to show 5 years of building rooms (although I never got that much recognition) and my passion for it!
Just the themes... I've made 3 Theatres (the [HWS] - Habbowood Theatre, [HWS] - Habbowood Idol Theatre, and the [HWS] - Habbowood Kodak Theatre), a huge Cinema ([HWS] - Habbowood Cinema), and many more rooms like Vegas, but none of the 30 rooms fit the themes you've got to choose from
Guess I'll be making Habbo's biggest nightclub Too bad dance floors look aweful when stacked
