Not negative at all, just posting common sense :S A spam thread won't work because spam comes in a different variety of topics, subjects and attitudes. Habbo Spam would vary in discussion and get out of hand and become completely untidy.

I'm also not sure how this has suddenly become a problem :/ Is the Habbo In General forum going to become the new Discuss Anything, where moderators fail to differentiate between pointless and boring topics? This thread could of gone in the Habbo In General as that is where you discuss "anything that relates to Habbo". It's not an interesting thread, but to label it pointless and chuck it in Spam seems unnecessary - but Habbox have always been the ones to act first think later :/

    http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=167794 - prime example here.

Another ones include all the staff spam threads - especially the RV one (which I believe are now banned as well as staff chat?)

Terrible example, that's one thread that acts as a place to chat in a spam forum. If it wasn't a spam forum then it would be relevant and a good example.

How do you know this? As I said there is a history of long successful spam threads anyway.
It may well work as long as it is in the forum where the members have something in common.
Dom has already highlighted one. Why do you keep saying it has suddenly become a problem?
This is the feedback thread and a member has suggested a 'habbo spam'. Newer members may not feel comfortable with their threads being moved to spam and these mostly use the Habbo sections. The part in bold I do not understand. Are you talking about this thread? If a thread is pointless then the only place for it really is spam.

Yes a very good example as well as the staff ones that are left. @ Gomme - no it isn't a terrible example.
It is a great example where people who are 'friends' chat. That could easily translate to Habbo, runescape, sports, tech.

i find the whole idea of a habbo spam forum just really bad. it brings us more people like a certain person who keeps getting banned on hxf because they can't type for their life, think they're super cool because they have thrones and a nice username. post in spam if you want to point pointlessly

    p m s l eye kant c da point in dis

    catch my drift?

A spam thread has to be in spam or it get renders pointless and gets moved to spam..

In the spam forum... There has been a "history of long, successful spam threads in the spam forum". Notice you say threads. So how do you propose to moderate spam threads in Habbo In General as you suggested earlier? You can't disable posting in threads, and there is a history of spam threads so are you suggesting more than one? This is why I suggest just let people post relevant threads in the relevant forums as nature intended. Habbo threads cannot be pointless, they're relevant to Habbo and the Habbo In General forum says quite clearly underneath, that it's for threads that are relevant to Habbo. Which is why e5 is confused and the removal of his thread seems utterly pointless creating this tedious discussion.

One thing and we've suddenly got a pandemic

Then keep the topics in the Habbo forums. You're forgetting that members do not like red writing and passive aggressive PMs when posting a thread int he wrong place, so if there was a Habbo Spam forum newer members might feel they have done wrong when their threads are randomly moved into a different forum. Spam suggests unwanted or pointless and void of discussion.

The thread that was moved into Spam. It was about Habbo, therefore it goes under a Habbo forum. Habbo In General is sufficient enough. The thread wasn't pointless, it was uninteresting as many people have pointed out so far.

It is a terrible example. The KKK thread is where people go to chat. Your suggesting an alternative to a spam forum by making one singular thread. Your suggesting Spam is another word for chatting, when it isn't. A spam thread won't work, because spam comes in different flavours. Members may post funny things they have seen, to stupid things Habbo Staff have done - this would deem one thread completely useless by being too hard to follow. These are discussions, not a conversation like in the KKK thread.

By your reasoning, your suggesting the Spam Forum can be replaced with the KKK thread.

So your suggesting Habbox create a Habbo Spam forum (stupid name for a forum but lets roll with it) and then put a Spam Thread inside that? It reminds me of that mememe - Yo dawg. I heard you like spam. So I put spam, inside your spam, so you can spam while browsing spam.

Habbo spam maybe unfunny to some people but you have to remember that we have a lot of younger users who probably do find it funny and it's not a useless thread to them. I would not like to see the 'pointless rule' discontinued outside of spam - it would be mayhem. Gomme, we are discussing this because a member would like it. I would suggest a stickied thread in Habbo in General for spam. As far as I know you do not use the Habbo forums. x
I don't think that is a good reason to suggest it'd work. If you post a stickied spam thread in the forum, going by the reason of why the Habbox Staff one was removed as you put it, that'd suggest that they'd just use that forum to post their Habbo spam so you either rename it the Habbo spam forum because that is what it'd effectively become or you just do what gommeinc suggested.

    No..

I have already suggested threads specifically wouldn't work - but a sub forum for habbo related spam (eg screenshots etc) would be appropriate.

Can't they just be posted in Habbo In General? If they're involving discussion it's fine. Habbo threads are rarely and impossible to make pointless as they have a themed point - Habbo. If a thread is boring, it'll sink and disappear. It's one thing Habbox do not need a make system for, because it's done through the interests of members. Better that than put off new members with the lovely red text and passive aggressive PMs I really do believe people are mixing up the words boring, uninteresting and humour with pointless and unnecessary.

A good example of a forum that doesn't do this - ClubHabbo. Granted they're a bit of a mess, but at least their forum structure is as perfect as possible.
