I've got a lip ring on my left side. I love it. I've had it 3 years. I don't remember it hurting that much, but everyone has their own opinion

Didn't hurt me at all when I had mine done, but be warned because if/when you take them out, the resulting scars look like buttholes on your face, no joke

personally not a fan of lip piercings, but some people really do suit them.

As others said, if you want one then get it, but probably getting a fake piercing first, just because if it doesn't look good there's really no turning back.
I personally think they look nice. I've always wanted one, anyway.
