Just looked at mine, and your "Last post" bit is messed up. It should be on the other side lol. Idk if it's been fixed for you though

In the activity feed thing, I presume only staff members of a certain group can see posts in their ovvn dept. forum? If that makes sense. E.g. Could a normal user or a hxhd staff (idk) see the top post here:

The stuff that appears on the stream will be the only content you can actually see with your permissions. So non-staff would not see any staff stuff in that stream.

If you can't easily notice the difference between a category header and a normal forum then you have issues.

The error (causing 2 lines) made the header look hideous and bulky

it was fine the way it was. yh i obviously can notice the breaks in the sections but it was easier to notice when the headers were a bit bigger.

50 line breaks makes it easier to notice aswell, let's do that
