    From a technician's perspective, I find Toshiba's easier to work on. I've never had a problem with mine (other than the screen breaking but that was my own fault).

    HP, on the other hand... netbook that decided one day it didn't like recognising HDDs, laptop with an unstable GPU and terrible overheating issues.

    Having said that the newer Toshibas (mine is from 2007/8) feel cheap. I'd go Lenovo or Dell for laptops now. Maybe stretch to a Vaio if I could.

    i've never actually had any experience with one but from what i've heard, they're not the best.

    haha no worries your story made me laugh richie lol & yeah my toshiba has a plasticcy cheap feel to it. I didnt know if my insurance would fix it again for free but woo yeah they're picking it up again in morning, you don't even wanna try toshiba support tbh. AWFUL

    My cousin had got one for Christmas It wouldn't connect to my Wi-Fi and it was extremely slow for a new laptop.

    Forgot about this thread. Anyone know what part of the laptop the panel is? They rung back and said it would be 2 weeks. They said the mouse is not repairable so they're waiting on the manafacturer for a new panel? Is that referring to the mouse or the actual casing? I have no idea

    I have a toshiba with not enter or space bar key and it just won't turn on atall LOL!
