Habbo Turkey's target audience are young Turkophones. Your assertion to the contrary is ridiculous. They are not targeting this new hotel at an already existing userbase of habbos, that makes absolutely no sense. Why would they, what possible motive can there be to open a new hotel for users who already have their own hotel, and who can not speak the local language? After the initial hype has worn off, no .com users will remain active on the Turkish habbo.

Bobba will not be rare because the language filter in which 'bobba' was used no longer exists. Turkish habbos using the new Turkish habbo will have had no experience of the old filter and thus no reason to think 'bobba' rare, or even associate it with habbo at all.

Whether or not 'hello' and 'hi' are in common use in colloquial Turkish is irrelevant, they do not officially exist in written Turkish. Certainly one could say hello in Turkish, in the same way an English person can greet someone with salut or aloha - but it is not popular custom and as such there can be no reason to suppose young Turks will consider them 'rare' account names.
I would not flatter yourself into thinking that I don't want a reply. Without sounding too egotistical, Turkey is one of the languages I have studied at a very senior level and the only reason I'd say I'm not fluent is because I wouldn't understand teen slang used by the Turkish people. That leads me onto my next point.

There you go, bang, you're wrong. Hi is in fact a Turkish word, I was waiting for you to walk into that one, and you did - without fail. You clearly have a very poor grasp on the Turkish language and our culture and I... well, I don't. You say it is irrelevant just to bolster your opinion (let me stress, that's all you have, an opinion and if you were intelligent enough you'd understand that your opinion will clash with others) whereas in fact it's hugely relevant.

If you are under the illusion that Sulake aren't targeting current players, then I ask you why they made a public room on Habbo .COM doing a count down and gave it huge publicity on hotel view, a page that every single player logging on would see. They also ran a campaign on my main hotel (habbo.es) regarding Habbo Turkey. Again, something you were evidently unaware of.

Bobba will be sought after because as my above point says, they are targeting current players to help populate the hotel in the first few months. I take it you're new to Habbo because they adopted the same approach to Singapore, China and Russia hotels.

There is one way to see who is correct - whether these names are taken on the first day on Habbo Turkey by someone other than myself - I'm sure they will be

I'm afraid I am not wrong and here is the proof. This is a list of every language that uses the word hi, notice please that Turkish is not on that list. If you can not offer anything to contradict me other than your own opinion please do not tell me I'm wrong again. Hi is not a word in Turkish, it may well be an Anglicism that is used in colloquial Turkish (like I said in my previous post), but that does not make it a Turkish word.

You are making a lot of foolish assumptions, about me and about Sulake's intentions - none of which are accurate. I would have thought the reason why Sulake are promoting the Turkish habbo on other hotels is obvious, to get people talking about it. They want us to tell any Turkish friends we have about the new hotel, they are simply using us as free publicity. They do not want habbos from other hotels to use habbo Turkey, just to talk about it.

Bobba will not be rare for the reasons I have already given. You have not said anything to change my mind on that score. Everything you have said is based on the assumption that non-Turks will use the Turkish hotel for more than a few weeks, that they will be able to communicate effectively the meaning of bobba to new Turkish habbos and that those new habbos will care. None of this will happen. Whether I am a new habbo or not is neither here nor there. Your analogy between the new Turkish hotel and the Russian and Chinese hotels is false; those hotels were not targeted at existing habbos (non Russian IPs were actually banned from Habbo RU).

That is ridiculous, that will not prove anything. Of course those names will be taken, they will be taken by habbos from other hotels - that is not in dispute. What is in dispute is whether new Turkish habbos will perceive them to be 'rare'.

@edible The new hotel is going to be aimed at a fresh new userbase, not existing Habbos at all. Like @Okeanos and @iBlueBox said it wouldn't make sense to target current users, thats not what their aim is. Some words will be rare. But like the word "Bobba", thats not even associated with Habbo anymore, it's another game altogether. So to the new users that word would be alien.
