Why do the parents of kids let them read these books? At their age I was playing with barbie

There was a huuuuge discussion about the ages that parents allow them to read these books, some saying that there like 13 year old was reading it... that's down right stupid. I've read the first two and they're not awful I guess but really if women want to read some porn check out the well written fanfiction on the internet there's loads of smut out there. Not saying its pg13 either but seriously if people are allowing their barely teenage daughters read it they are gonna have a lot of questions coming at them.
On the twilight point I didn't even notice it was fanfic til someone pointed it out to me a while ago and now the books are even worse to read
Haha you're obsessed with this book! I'm going to start reading it after I finish up my book on a guy backpacking up the east coast of Australia. There's a thread on it now yay. I bought this book like 4 days ago or something after @Blinger; mentioned it to me on Twitter. I've read like 4 pages so far and it's alright but so far I don't see the hype and it just seems like an average book but as I read on I'll probably see why.
I only heard about 50 shades in another forum months ago and I decided to check it out (do i ever regret it haha)and I was horrified to see how it was being publicised with it having its own few shelves in Sainsburys etc.
I really want to see whos in the film and the rating. Surely it want be anything lower than say 18..
I just don't want Emma Watson to play Ana as that's rumoured and that would be awfulI only heard about 50 shades in another forum months ago and I decided to check it out (do i ever regret it haha)and I was horrified to see how it was being publicised with it having its own few shelves in Sainsburys etc.

It shouldn't be acceptable to sell it to anyone. I know it's only fiction but the way the sex is represented in it is dangerously misleading, and most people won't know any better than to believe that the scenes in it are how it really happens in sub/dom relationships
I agree. Kids shouldn't be reading this ****It shouldn't be acceptable to sell it to anyone.
