    I was originally told i could update it because it's a dedicated card; not that i'm saying you're wrong because after a quick search you're probably right. In any case (I'm backtracking, so what?) the Radeon graphics are wwwwwiiiiideeelllyyyyyy regarded as better.

    I don't pretend I know everything about 'this stuff' but I'm not exactly ******ed. Like you said people who buy laptops don't USUALLY buy them for graphics power, just like the O/P and that's really the only difference between the two laptops.

    i was under the impression we were talking about low-end laptops which pretty much by definition have low-end components

    Dedicated card != up-datable. It just means it's not integrated onto the motherboard.
