Well, gay men in general have low odds and often die alone (can't find BBC article for this atm) for a number of factors. So obviously if you aren't the best looking creature then it'll be even harder than if you were straight, and that's without taking into account the gay 'culture' too where many of them don't settle down.
It's not popular to point out but hey, it's the truth.
