Whilst I know there are certain charities that seem to have a plug hole for money, there are THOUSANDS that would SERIOUSLY benefit from £1,000,000...

I would take the 10,000 and set up my own charity. I've actually kinda wanted to do that for a while now but I'm not too sure what cause I'd even do it for sigh.

The first post and poll implies you have to actually give the 1m to a charity and not use it to set up your own but I do agree it needs clarification haha.

A later post stated you could use it to set up your own

The costs of setting up a charity are very little, anyway. A lot of paperwork and time, but in terms of cost, very little.

I'd do the 2nd option and donate. I'd rather help out to those who need it, than just help myself out, and most likely change because of money. Lol.

LOL well I'd be more cocky for sure. I don't know, I know it's not a lot. But it could still get you a fair few things.

Depends at what age you are talking.

I personally look at £10k and think "yeah, would be a nice boost to my bank account, but really, it isn't going to go that far".

Spent £450 so far without even stepping foot in my Uni yet, just about says how much £10k is
