@FlyingJesus, what was Ivanovic doing yesterday? He was so poor, has he had a poor pre-season as well? It's a game of ifs and buts, however if we win on Monday, Sterling will be relishing the chance to come up against Ivanovic if he's in the same form. A five point gap after two games would be a nightmare start for Chelsea.

Ivan's become a bit of a liability at the back and does need to improve, but we're not really in the state to chop and change at the back at the moment either

Don't think today went to plan for @IceNineKills. I'm reluctant to mock too much as we haven't played, although I do wonder if Arsenal fans will still be telling us that Cech is going to win them the league.

As for the 'mental' opening day, I think the gap between the top six and the rest of the league is shortening each season.
