It's like saying Dougie from Mcfly is a better guitarist than Hendrix: you're saying it can't be proven contrary which is true, but it doesn't stop you from being a dumbas's.

What? They wrote better songs for their generation than Billie Joe has. And as a matter of fact, any punk fan should care. And thankyou for pointing that out to me, it's spelt Billy here in England, but Americans like to change words/names for some reason.

You are a little girl from what I've heard. Going on about Billie Joe being better than Joe Strummer. You're basically saying he's the greatest song-writer in history? Think about it. Hey, you might of heard of The Clash? Or The Ramones? They were pretty good punk artists of the 70's and 80's incase you haven't. If it wasn't for them, you're precious Green Day wouldn't exist.
Don't tell me what to do either please, it doesn't suit you, especially when you're a Taking Back Sunday fan.
Oh whatever with your "facts". You believe what you want and I believe what I want.

I know about the clash, the ramones, the s*x pistols, they are great; they inspire most of the 1990's and this years punk rock bands; like Green Day. So don't try and lecture me, I do know about older rock bands too.

Don't call me a dumb as's either. Just because I don't fully class myself as a 'punk', I don't follow others; just because they think "Oh wow!! This person is better than him so I'll follow everyone else to look cool!", I seriously don't give a damn about what others think. I like who I like on personal choice, not on "punk intelligance" Okay?

You are a little girl from what I've heard.
I'm a little girl? I'm 16 soon, I didn't know 16 year old's were classed as little? Oh, and you shouldn't believe everything you hear, I know your a sheep, but c'mon rumours are so pathetic.

I wasn't lecturing you dear. You can't know that much if you think Billie Joe is a better songwriter than Joe Strummer. You avoided what I said about Hendrix because that's what this argument is similar to. I showed a friend on Msn what you thought and he couldn't stop laughing at your stupidity.

It's not about "liking" or "personal choice", we were discussing who's the better song-writer. I'm not a huge fan of Joy Division, but I'll admit Ian Curtis is a better song-writer than Joey Ramone who is infact my favourite punk frontman. Same with anything else in music. Slash is my idol, but I'll admit there's been at least 30 guitarists better than him in history; 'cause I'm not an idiot basically.

A sheep? I don't call a sheep someone who likes artists from Bob Dylan to Metallica mate. You're the sheep, liking Green Day ever since American Idiot came out. I can see exactly the sort of music you like, just from you're last 10 posts or so and your sig. You don't have a clue about what genre's I'm into because I don't follow nobody.
Rumours are pathetic, but what relevance to this thread does that have? If it's the whole TBS thing, they make me laugh.

Well one thing about what you said; the american idiot, I don't like any of them songs except wake me up when september ends. I like Dookie, warning. All of Green Day's old music. I don't care what you like, the punk intelligance or ANYTHING about following some stupid trend. Go to hell because I don't give a damn about any of that. I listen to the music that appeals to me, I don't need to listen to ALL the punk music to be a real punk. That doesn't matter to me. I don't label myself, I am who I am.
I don't even listen to Bob Dylan, so what the hell are you on about?

Go you and your attitude. You missed my point again: I was saying if it wasn't for the album American Idiot, you wouldn't of liked/started listening to Green Day. And you're right, you don't have to listen to any punk to be "a real punk", it just helps to know what you're talking about and where your favourite bands come from, which obviously you don't.

I didn't say you listen to Bob Dylan, hell, you probably don't even know who he is. I was pointing out that I can't be a sheep as my music taste is unique. Read my post next time. -.-

Eh yeah actually I started listening to Green Day when I was a lot younger; my dad has their old albums lol. He also has the s*x pistols, the ramones etc album's so I do actually know where they come from.

Oh yes, I do know who Bob Dylan is.

My taste in music is unique too. Some is hard metal, some light pop and some rock. I don't care what you like, it doesn't appeal to me at all.

I hate album American Idiot. And the song too. But there is one song that rocks on that album and that would have to be 'Give Me Novacaine'.

Heh. Funny how all Green Day fans say that. "Naa, I loved them before American Idiot came out." Yeah, course you did.

You don't even know what I like. You're just assuming that you dislike it. What "Hard metal" do you like? Slipknot or someone like that?
