    It is an attempt to capture the same audience as Lord of the flies. It is typical as many like it aren't very populare so you never hear about them. And i find it predictable, every plot is over the top and does each character have to have such a dramatic past

    well the best dramas have characters that aren't very dramatic to make it better. Obviously the writers just put this in to get people to watch it each week and so they can get another 3 series out of it. Or in Losts case 6 series
