Why Wolves didn't go in for him is beyond me, we need defenders, yet we're signing a striker, Kevin Doyle, for £7M? doesn't make sense.

If they're spending that much on a striker then they should be paying the same for defenders.

I like strikers, the more the better, but at least sell some of the strikers we won't play, cause no we have like 6/7 strikers. >.>

We arn't getting Doyle for £7m. Apparently he said he didn't want to come because he didn't want to be involved in a relegation battle - the ******. I personally don't want him to come anyway. Seriously don't think he's a Premiership striker at ALL.

Surely your making that presumption just on the fact that we're APPARENTLY going to sign Doyle (which we're not) because I'd say he did pritty well when he signed Keogh, Vokes, Iwelumo and last but not least, Ebanks-Blake.

Twist, where you hearing this? I read in the Express and Star that It was practically a done deal?

If he went to Bolton, he would seriously flop. IMO.

Just read on the Express and Star website that Wolves have £30M of TV money from the PL + the £30M that Morgan invested in the club when he first bought it (as we haven't touched it) - so, hopefully we will use up to £45M of that £60M? or am I dreaming?

Arsenal and Liverpool in BIG bidding war

    June - 25 - 2009

The daily round up of Spanish news speculation has been collected and the best one that we have come across is that Liverpool and Arsenal are both in a bidding war for the same player and that the figures mentioned are big.
Now when they say big they are talking between £15 million and £20 million and while the name of the player was not mentioned on Spanish radio it is believed to be a Valencia player
The reporter said that he has been told by a reliable source that Liverpool and Arsenal have both made bids for the same player and when pressed he said that it is not a player from Barcelona, Real Madrid or Sevilla, when pressed even further on if it was Valencia, he just said no comment and let out a laugh.
Some easy deduction means that it is either Silva or Mata that is the player that they are bidding for, however by all accounts Silva is heading for Real Madrid if recent reports in the British papers are to be believed.
So it seems that Juan Mata is the target and the figures of between £15 and £20 million make sense
Be interesting to see how these two debt ridden clubs can afford to bid so high and who will end up with him.
Mata would be a class signing.
