This episode sucked. It was just too slow. :/ Tbh, it shouldn't span over 2 episodes.

yesterday's episode genuinely scared me, had to turn my light on, LOL ***.
Dammit Doctor Who need to stop it with the two-parter episodes, want now.

More than agreed.
New Who is more of a... remake, in my mind. Obviously it keeps in the same lore but it adds too much of a 21st century flair.
If it was a 'period dramaTHING' then yeah, it would mould with the old series.
that was good episode, but compared to the pile of **** that was this episode, it was bloody epic.
I thought this was possibly the worse episode of the series, with the one with the colourful darleks a close 2nd. Absolutely ridiculously bad, with the 2 only good moments being the few last minutes where Amy woke up underground, which was completely undermined by the doctor seeing the underground city, and the tension built up when the boy went to get his headphones, which was completely undermined by the complete stupidity of the plot. Also not enough fuss was make over the old man being like lickedS) and the scene where the alien was talking to Rory, the old man and the stupid woman was completely ridiculous with a tonne of inexcusably bad acting.
Woah, I'm not looking down on the old series at all. I'm just saying that considering this is updated and new and stuff, the writers should actually think to include newer ongoing evil monsters, instead of just bringing back the Daleks every series. It kinda saps the fun/excitement out of seeing them when you know that even if they all die in an episode, they'll definitely come back.
Agreed they should of left them for atleast 2 series, along with the cybermen to make them feel truley special when they returned.Woah, I'm not looking down on the old series at all. Hang on don't get me wrong - I've applauded previous episodes for keeping the feel of Doctor Who's roots alive but this episode went beyond that and just seemed extremely tacky. Not just the fail-ness of the 'monster' thing, but even the acting was especially terrible in this one. For example what was the deal with the church door? It was apparently stuck so they were all trying to open it but it's not until Rory of all people - the biggest weakling I've ever seen - lays his little finger on the bloody thing and it flies open. Then later on the kid eventually manages to open it pretty much by himself. And at the beginning when the guy was being pulled into the hole - he escaped for a second but then turned round and left his leg handing over it before trying to crawl away? :S
