I was cutting wood and mining stones and when the zombie took it back to the 'base' thing i wasn't appearing so I gave up

that's meant to happen, it does it for a few times (not sure how many, if there is an x amount) and then a bundle of logs finally appears

Each rock/tree has a set number of bundles. Each bundles take X amount of time to be chopped down / dug up.

Depending on your level, the average is 10 mins per bundle. When you unlocked double minors and choppers, its 3 mins per bundle. The guy is just trasnferring part of the bundle.. hes there for disply

At 11pm when your gift collection is reset to 35k... so you transfer as much as poss as fast as poss
