I guess it does defeat the fact that earning rep would be pointless when you can buy it. Rep is about earning your reputation, you could be a complete idiot and still have a good rep.
However, HabboxForum is a small buisiness, they have to make there money in order to keep the site alive, keep it safe for there members, making money for that I think is perfectley normal.

V.I.P is there if you want it, you don't have to buy it, people choose to buy it for the added features you get with it.
The rep system could be changed and it would then suit alot of members, there reputation would only suit them as a member, earning it would be more exciting :p

Well i'm certain will buy them selves some reps, but i wouldn't as i think it should be earned. I think habbox earn enough from VIPs anyway but it's always good to have a little extra on the side.
