Why were you called your name?

My mum liked the name Clarie, but my dads Italian and he wanted something Italian and Clarissa is the latin version of Clarie and thats how I got stuck with this :|

My dad's name is Eduardo and my Mom's name is Cristina so the first names of my sister and I were to be the closest names in the name book which were as close to my dad's name and our middle names would be the ones in the book which were closest to my mom's name. So in the end, My name ended up to be Ellis and my middle name became Christer (instead of Christopher , it sounds so strange to me) while my sister became Eydie Christine. Yes, a strange name for a strange girl. I like the way you think.
