Does it really matter if he was referring to gayness as in happiness or gayness as in campness? Gay is not a dirty word and it really offends me when people act like it is.

First of all - There are 2 meanings to the word gay.
One is the homosexual kind of way
And the second is the Happy way.
He's not homophobic, if anything, you're homophobic because you're taking an interest that Dionysus said Gay. Anyone else would have taken it with a pinch of salt. Wayne Rooney says the F word all the time, and do you post that in the sport section? No.

2. The thread is pointless. It's like saying 'Callie said PIE !' so Dionysus means nothing.

This thread is, in my opinion, totally pointless. If you haven't worked out that he was using 'gay' in the meaning of happyness, you need to. There's no way he would have meant it as in homosexuals, and if he had - who cares? They're still people, and there's nothing wrong with saying the word, aslong as you're not accusing someone of being it when they're not.
