I love listening to kids talk about tattoos, it's great fun. It's even more fun when they go out and get them as soon as they can, because they'll hate them in a couple of years.

If you want a tattoo, design it, wait for at least 2 years (because your tastes will most likely change), and if you still like it, get it then. Otherwise, you'll get something you drew up in 5 minutes that's supposedly "Tribal" (and how many people do you know who are actually from tribes?) or something that's overdone and part of a fashion.

Also, if you're really into tattoos and want coverings, don't go for any small tattoos on your arms or back, because it'll stop you from getting a full-sleeve or full-back pattern, which if done well can look nice. Of course, if you're not bothered about sleeves and big tattoos, by all means design something nice and small.
