So what if it orbits the sun?
Many other things orbit the sun, but they arnt classed as planets.
Oh yeah and it is a planet, its just not in our solar system anymore, its classed as one of the "mini planets" or something.
Theres like 12 all together classing the mini planets.

What? Of course Pluto is still in our Solar System. It's just called a dwarf planet, instead of a planet.

To be a planet, it must:
    1. Orbit the Sun
    2. Be round in shape
    3. Clear other objects away from its orbit

As Pluto only has 2 of these traits, and has not cleared other objects away from its orbit (It passes through the orbit of Neptune), it is known as a dwarf planet.

The biggest flaw with this definition that i can see is, because Neptune passes through the orbit of Pluto, it hasn't cleared all objects away from its orbit, so technically, following this definition, Neptune should be a dwarf planet :s
