You haven't stated any truths, you've simply said "I'm right you're wrong".
Musical knowledge has nothing to do with how many blogs you've read, what articles you've read, what dodgy anti-MTV conspiracist you've been talking to, or how many different genres you can name. Musical knowledge is to do with how you interpret the music yourself, but mostly how it is presented by the artist. Your arguments seem to be "if I don't like a band, it can't possibly be in a genre that I like", which is a load of crap. I like punk, but I don't like all punk bands. I like rap, but not all rappers. I like power-ballads, but some people are rubbish with their power-ballads. That doesn't mean that the artists are not of a certain genre; get over yourself.

and in case you're some kind of robot, I thought you miiight have jusssst thought i was being the teeeeniest, most eeeeenseee, weeeniest bit sarcastic? no? bummer man!

i'd say they're a straight up rock band myself. i'm guessing you're meaning emo as in emotional lyrics? i stated earlier emo has nothing to do with emotional.

and i dont like repeating myself ¬_¬

I stated earlier that you need to get over yourself, but I don't mind repeating myself if it's on a subject that amuses me - ie: ignorant people.

Your sarcasm on one point has nothing to do with the fact that you really don't know a lot. You need to grow up and realise that there's more to life than pretending to be more individual than you really are.

i think you'd better face the fact that emo music HAS changed. we're no longer in the 80's. this whole 'DIY' thing no longer applies to emo. emo bands are on major labels too now, and as i said you just have to live with it.

    Sunny Day Real Estate!!

And I have never heard anyone call Death Cab emo. They're indie rock. They are pretty distant from emo. I dont know why if there is a band with a guitar on MTV it automatically makes them emo.

Oh, and @ everyone. Stop argueing what genre a band is. There is no need to get into sub-subgenres. I dont see the point. Who cares what a band is. For all I care, someone can mistake Foo Fighters for being R&B. It doesnt affect how they ACTUALLY sound.

yeah everyone's calling DCFC emo all of a sudden which is prettyyy laughable... and SDRE rule man.

it's amazing you people are soooooooo argumentative that if i ask if anyone's heard of a genre i'm a self loving idiot, coz if that's your opinion and you want to challenge me for knowing something you probably don't, areen't you pretty up yourself? ooo the contradtictions!
