If you read my post (which you probably didnt), you will see I said nothing about you being pathetic that you didnt like a band. I would find it very interesting if you could point it out to me, because I dont think I see where I said "Youre pathetic because you dont like ______". I just dont think you can even have an opinion about Green Day, whether you like them or not, if you arent aware that the word 'Green' and 'Day' are actually seperate. Originally Posted by Overdose

Just saying, when it comes to musical ability American Idiot and Warning totally kill off older Green Day.
But I'm just not a Green Day fan, my view is pop-punk has to be fun to be interesting, it's not a genre that's sound really suits political/social or sad lyrics.

I used to hate American Idiot saying it didnt compare to old Green Day, but the more I thought about it, the more Im glad it didnt. Bands have to mature and progress, and if this is the way they do it, whatever. It would be worse for a band to NEVER change. Who wants to listen to a 30 year old complain about being a teenager? Dookie is still, and probably always will be my favorite album ever, and pretty much the only Green Day album I truely like, but if they never make another like it, its fine with me.

It's a true point actually, Dookie is a strong enough album to stand on its own, but other than that and Nimrod, Green Day have never interested me. It's probably better they change for the worse than stay exactly the same for 15 years, because if they stayed the same you would probably end up hating the good albums as well as the poor ones.

Yeah, they cant make the same album over and over because it would completely take away from what drew you to the first. The fact that Dookie is the only one of it's kind makes it that much more special. Originally Posted by YoManGo!
