Firstly by quoting bands that have somewhat become a "necessity" in the punk era doesn't make it the 'REAL' stuff as you quoted. And dude/dudette just because a band is in the top 40 doesn't make them any less rock.

I have to strongly disagree with you there I like both bands - Good Charlotte in particular. The songs are generally quite catchy and there is a lot of good lyrics in their albums - especially the song Predictable.

It's pretty obvious your knowledge of punk is limited.
For the record, Sex Pistols suck and show everything I hate about punk, I don't see how they are 'real' music - they were a manufactured band who hired people for their looks then turned a great movement into a joke of a fashion. Up teh punx!

I think Sid Vicious couldn't play atall, he was purely there for looks. Still I quite like the Pistols.

They have a few good songs but they're so badly overrated. The Ramones are also overrated but at least they didn't hire people purely for their looks.

Sid Vicious had his bass turned off at most Pistols shows, too.

& the six pistols are crap in my opinion, i think they have zero talent.
