    I think you'll have to wait a little while, sorry. Music scenes arent like pokemon cards, they dont just get grown out of. Itll evolve and change, but itll take a long time for it to really go away.

    well a lot of kids say stuff like atreyu and similar bands are hardcore. i dont really follow that particular theory myself, its a long way from bands like bishop, gorilla biscuits, champion and black flag. or at least i think so.

    I have always considered Atreyu as metalcore. They are one of my favourite bands and all pretty talented!

    you're referring to hardcore punk as a sub-genre which is a lot different to the metalcore or whatever it is.
    d'you know what's big here right now? grindcore.
    that's a genre that severely needs to dissapear off the scene.
    in all honesty i don't know what hardcore is anymore.
    & as for me i'm into the manchester scene atm.
    so smiths, primal scream, charlatans and all that.

    my neighbour's son plays drums for the charlatans. i'm not even joking. oh and bishop arent really hardcore punk, there is punk elements there but it's in its own seperate hardcore genre. not metalcore, not punk, just hardcore.
