Well, I have to hand it for Nick and Sam. I helped Nick out quite a while ago, and I'm amazed on how far this website has actually came. I seen the article in the newspaper, and I was amazed. Quite frankly, I appreciate his step in refusing the money. I would have too. Website developing isnt just about earning money, unlike some people think of it as that, but its about experience. You can learn a lot in creating websites, and owning one is about passion. Nick has a lot of passion as you can see, as he has turned down quite a large amount of money. Nick is a very organised person and a great person to talk to.

I think the BBC would spoil his idea, they are a formal company where as SharpeNews is made for teens, by teens. I wish Nick and Sam all the best.

I don't believe you'd turn down that much.

The fact that the BBC offered that sort of money for his website will spark potential investors or someone who might want to purchase the website for a highers sum.

In business terms - GOOD DECISION
In teen terms - omg he iz a f00l.

I just wanted to clear up the confusion on how old you have to be to set up in business. There is NO minimum age to be a company director in a LTD company. Which theoretically means a baby could start a company. But Companies House do advise that only people 16 or over consider registering a company.

I hope that better informs some of you and please feel free to look at this website if you want further reading.
