We do not have any propa chavs really. We just get called chavs for wearing trackies :s

Doesn't preppy mean rich kids? If so then no, far from it. Chav is infact and ibreviation for Counsil house and violence. Chavs basiclly hang around at bus shelters, and terrorise anyone and anything in there sights.

Yeah I don't think there are anything close to Chavs in America. Well at-least California.

There are a lot of mexicans at our school (like 50%) and while some of them can be cool, some of them are extremely stupid and just listening to their conversations make you wonder what they are doing with their lives. And they walk slowly down the hall and take it all up.

From what I've seen in this thread the people who seem to be saying 'chavs' are the ones who aren't chavs/townies and hate them personally, when in reality you are an emo/goth and a minority so more hated than them.

Back in school emos were the most hated, just generally ****** most people off. Our school is dominated by chavs/townies/part indies and I'm part of this and we just generally disliked most of them because they are very attention seeking and have rubbish personalities.

My school is like 95% chav. But mostly geeks/fat people anyone really who the chavs can call.

The Chavs dominate our school (It is Liverpool after all!), err all the emo's and goths in my school aren't really picked on and you can have a conversations with one without them going 'U WANNA FIGHT'.

The nerds are just seen as funny, for example there's this nerd who thinks he's german and talks in a german manner and he just gets laughed at and there's another one who doesn't wash ;l

I'd say Chavs probably even though they are dominant.

I seriously doubt you actually say that to them. Emo kids/goth kids/losers and rejects often say stuff like "yeah this chav said [this] to me and I was just like [witty retort]" when in fact they were most likely rooted to the spot in fear. I respect chavs a lot more than people like that, because they aren't trying to be anything other than what they are.
