Well the English league may be the most intense but football isn't just about tackling. England may have the better teams, but the good-to-bad ratio (compare ManUTD to Watford) is far worse.

I don't think they will struggle at all. I mean, stastically they won more games without Henry than they did with him (56%>48%). Thierry Henry had a detrimental effect on the other players, he was too demanding to players of such little experience. But they do need a replacement and it doesn't need to be like-for-like.
Anelka's been great at his role at Bolton, not only scoring but creating. Composed, experienced and going for a rational fee. Then another player of Reyes' calibre on the wing, and some stability in defence - they should be able to compete again.
The need in defence is somewhat more worrying IMO.
