    Good point.

I do disagree with this idea but it seems some of Habboxs most old/spam crew members have joined habmate and spend more time on there so thiscould be a way to keep more however perhaps rosie could notify you of some of the threads that would/could be posted

I don't think it's practically possible for us to verify the age of individual members.
We could make a forum for 16+ though, but then this forum would still be open to everybody. It would only be an indication that the threads are about things that interest people from 16 years or older.
Just like straight people can post in the gay chat forum, but the subjects of the threads have to do with gay issues.

There wouldn't be less strict rules in a forum for 16+.

I don't like the idea of it at all, lol i don't even like HabMate it's just a copy of Habbox tbh.

Also, you can't prove your age online and also how stupid are you to run a fan site asking for personal details as copy's of passport, driving license or any other stuff to prove there identity.

I know I wouldn't give you my details on my name, address etc.

I think theirs a plugin that doesnt let you change your age once registered so that would stop it,Yes people may lie about it but its not like everyone will ;l

Oh dear The filter is lifted only in that one forum. The rest of the forum has the filter. They are not breaking the filter rules as there is no filter in the 16+. In the real world 16-18 year olds use language daily that is restricted on this forum and my main forum. They also talk about more adult issues that are suitable for 16/18. Now you are always saying that it has to be suitable for 11+ in the forum so we have, in addition, a 16+ forum that allows them to express themselves more freely and be more themselves without having to worry about the parents of younger children seeing unsuitable language. Also the age of consent for sex is 16 in this the UK so whilst they can have sex they can't talk about it on the forum so they have somewhere that they can
provided the content does not fall into the 18+ category.

Now you may not want this for Habbox Forum and that's fine but you cannot say that its a bad idea. As I say it keeps language out of the rest of the forum well so there is not so much rule breaking there.

Well perhaps you ought to read the previous posts as we don't ask for personal details. Also how does it contribute to the thread when all you say is 'you don't like the idea' - why don't you like it?

As far as your thoughts on HabMate are concerned well we aim to be leaders not followers but it takes time and most Habbo fansites are pretty much modelled around Habbox but it will evolve
and maybe given time members of other forums will ask for our unique ideas to be implemented their forums

Exactly, I know ten year olds that swear. I dont always think there is a maturity gap between 13-19 because everyone is different and there are some that are more mature than others. I think theres nothing major that a 13 year old cant handle that a 16 year old can. I think this idea is pointless personally.

Yes, but I would not want to be seen to be supporting the use of language for 13 year olds. As I say it is accepted in society that 16-18 year olds are allowed more freedom. Take Cinema entry? That has loads of different categorys for different ages. I feel that arguement is weak, Matt.
Also maybe the older members want to get away from the younger members for a bit? Its there if they want to use it. No big deal

Hmm strongly disagree there and so does the most of society, Liam.
