You all seem to be slightly confused about the big bang so I'll give a shot at explaining it.

Before the big bang there was a type of matter which has not been observed yet (usually called anti-matter). This started pulling inwards causing friction and a huge density change, the friction cause extreme heat which in turn exploded expelling matter (the big bang has now happened). The matter which was thrown out starts to gain its own gravitational pull which created large masses (planets).

    Get it?

Not really. Where did this anti-matter come from? Why didn't relativity or the other laws such as gravity come into act immediately? It's a very 'made-up-as-it-goes-along' theory in my opinion. So is God in some ways I guess, but God isn't claiming factuality in the name of science. I think it's more logical to think of a creator causing the big bang.

I'm agnostic, i believe the universe had a "creator" of sorts, and i also believe in quite alot of the "mysticism", "afterlife", etc.

I really do disagree with the whole christian hell concept.. you can be a good christian, but if you've been bought up in a different religion you goto hell..?

Also to add: I believe the big bang occured, but I also like the concept of the M theory/string theory where the big bang was a ripple effect which trigged off a multi - verse type occurance.

Where did this creator come from? Oh and don't tell me it just happened, you have hinted yourself that's not possible. :eusa_wall

Religion provides no answers, it provides excuses for not having the answers, sorry. At least science attempts to solve the mysteries of our planet and universe and it has provided countless things we know today to be FACTUAL and not some mysterious event caused by gods will. I will also say science has healed and cured a hell of a lot more people than god ever has, at least in the past 250 years.
Your stories in the bible of god magically healing people have no factual backing, they are simply stories in a story book, science on the other hand... well lets not go there the list goes on forever, besides you can look anywhere today and see things science has done to make your life a thousands times better.

If people want to live their life by the bible then great that’s fine for them, we're in the 21st century and the majority of us have the freedom to believe in what ever we want, but what I have a problem with is this political correctness and religion getting in the way of how I want to live MY life. Stem cell research is something that should be pursued, instead we have corrupt born again Christians in the United States government
    preventing this from happening.

Well seeing as any creator would've been around before time existed you're lead to believe that they had no beginning.
