The key to a well motivated staff is encouragement, training and guidance during the early days. A manual is fine but is no substitute to experience and help. I used to bring this up frequently and it maybe something worth looking into and perhaps a training manager who has lots of experience should be appointed to look after the new recruits including mods. Just an idea.
